QUICK & SIMPLE VEGAN WAFFLE

In a hurry in the Morning, try this Quick Waffle Recipe, or Prep these on your day off, freeze and pop in the toaster for rushed mornings then out the door you go.


This simple recipe is interchangeable with both waffles and pancakes. I myself am a waffle person so I prefer making waffles with it, but do as you feel!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup Old Fashion Pancake/Waffle Mix

1 Ripe Large Banana

1/2 tsp baking powder

3/4 cup non-dairy milk (I prefer to use Almond and Cashew Blend)

Non-Stick Spray or coconut oil for Waffle Iron


Note: Do not try and sub the Old Fashion Mix with the Complete Mixes if you want a vegan waffle. Often the Complete Mix contains powered eggs and powdered cows milk.

Instruments Needed:

Waffle Iron

2 Mixing Bowls (1 small, 1 Large)

Whisk or Mixing Spoon

Measuring cup

Fork (to mash banana)


Recipe:

Pre-Heat your Waffle Iron to specified instruction

Mash Banana with Fork in small bowl ( this should be fairly easy due to ripeness)

In a Large Mixing bowl pour old fashion mix, non dairy milk and mashed banana

Whisk together until incorporated, if making waffles its okay if batter is slightly lumpy

Spray or Wipe Down Waffle Iron with desired non-stick agent

Pour the batter into the iron starting from the middle and working your way outward. Cook Waffle following your specific waffle iron directions until golden brown

Remove waffle from Iron and serve with your favorite toppings.
